TAKE ME BACK TO THE KIDS REGISTRATION FORM

RAC provides daytime and evening art classes for adults Monday through Friday year round. After school and summer sessions are available for youngsters. Special weekend and one-day workshops are held throughout the year. Participants do not have to be RAC members to attend a class.

How to Register
Registration can be completed online using PayPal or a credit card.  You can also register by phone or in person using a credit card, check or cash. All fees must be paid upon registration and students are guaranteed a place ONLY after full payment is received. RAC does NOT send out written confirmation notices. You can call the office at 203-866-2744 (x-2) for more information.

Studio Fee
A non-refundable $20 studio fee is included in the tuition for each in-studio class and $10 for online classes.  A $5 studio fee is charged for youth classes and all workshops.

Enrollment
For classes to be conducted a minimum enrollment is required. In addition, there can be a maximum enrollment due to the studio size, equipment and the instructor’s requirements.

Class or Workshop Changes
RAC reserves the right to change its calendar, withdraw or modify classes or workshops. Classes or workshops cancelled due to bad weather or instructor absence will be rescheduled according to studio availability.

Attendance
There are no make-ups or refunds if a participant cannot attend a regularly scheduled class or make-up class or workshop.  In the case that a student experiences a medical emergency which prevents them from attending class, RAC requires a Doctor’s note explaining the reason for the missed classes. RAC will take the note into consideration and may/may not grant a future make up class or refund depending on the situation.  Note that scheduled doctors appointments/procedures and vacations do not qualify for a make-up class or a refund.

Cancellations
If RAC cancels a class or workshop, all fees will be refunded. In the event a class or workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment or an instructor’s absence, notice will be given one to three days prior to the class or workshop start date. Check the RAC website for cancellation or postponement information.

Refunds for Class Sessions
The participant must notify the RAC office in writing at least one week before the first class meets to receive a refund. All fees will be refunded except for the non-refundable studio fee.

A prorated tuition fee may be refunded to a student withdrawing from a class they are attending for first time.  Notification of reason for withdrawal must be in writing before the second class meets.

Refunds for Workshops
The participant must notify the RAC Office in writing at least one week prior to the scheduled workshop date in order to receive a refund for withdrawal. If a participant notifies the RAC Office with an official withdrawal, a refund will be granted minus the non-refundable studio fee. Participants who register five days or less before the workshop start date cannot receive a refund. All withdrawal requests must be in writing.

Prorated Class Payment Policy

RAC may agree to prorate class payments if a student is unable to commit to a full session of classes due to health or travel reasons.  The following statements must be true in order for RAC to consider a prorated fee:

  • Instructor must agree that a student can register for less than the full session
  • Student must register for at least half of the session
  • Student has a legitimate health or travel issue

If the above statements are true, RAC will charge $40/class for classes that are two hours or less,  $50/class for classes that are between 2-3 hrs in length, and $60/class for classes that are 4 hrs long.  Classes are less expensive when purchased as a full session since they benefit from a volume discount

Class Make-Up Policy

As noted above, make-up classes are only given in the event that RAC cancels a class.

A note about Covid compliance:  You can be assured that RAC is doing everything possible to keep its customers and staff safe from Covid.  Our studio is spacious and airy with excellent air circulation and plenty of room for people to stay safely distanced from one another.

As always, please do not come to the studio if you are feeling sick or have the following symptoms:  cough, fever, shortness of breath (other than the excitement of seeing us), sudden loss of smell or taste, chills, body aches, or sore throat.up on the class you’re in.
