The spring show at the Rowayton Arts Center bursts forth bold colors and shapes with the “Abstraction exhibit opening April 3. You’re invited to join us at the reception on Sunday, April 3, 4-6 pm. Winners of the exhibit will be announced at the reception.

The “Abstraction” exhibition features art in any media, on any theme. Exhibiting artists were encouraged to work with a large degree of independence from realistic representation. Artwork is available for purchase.  The “Abstraction” chairperson is Maria Friscia and co-chair is Linda Francis, the judge, Eleanor Flatow, former co – director of the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan.   The exhibit will be up until April 24.

 For almost 60 years, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a cultural gem in the community. It is an exceptional gallery where regional artists may exhibit and sell their art as well as a wonderful venue for art workshops and classes. The RAC Art School offers classes to children and adults at all levels. The RAC Gallery and Art School are located on the bank of the scenic Five Mile River in Rowayton, CT at 145 Rowayton Avenue. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday: 12pm-5pm, Sunday, 1pm-4pm.
