Artists and anyone who wants to know more about how artists think and create are invited to join the conversation during a free evening of art discussion with Mark Andreas, Joseph Dermody, Miggy, and Helen Robinson, whose artwork was juried into “Focus Under Forty” at the Rowayton Arts Center. The exhibit features 47 works by 30 artists ages 18-39.

AT-RAC begins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17 in the RAC Gallery, 145 Rowayton Avenue. AT-RAC co-chair Joel Flora will moderate as the participants answer questions about their artwork and describe their though processes and techniques. Following the discussion, attendees can view additional works by the artists and talk informally with them during a reception in RAC’s upstairs studio.

The “Focus Under Forty” exhibition continues through June 28. RAC Gallery hours are 12:00-5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (closed Monday). Admission is free.

For more than 50 years the Rowayton Arts Center has been a community cultural hub that provides a welcoming environment for regional artists to exhibit and sell their work, exchange arts-related ideas, and participate in classes and workshops for creative people of all ages and at all levels. The RAC Gallery and Art School are located on the banks of the scenic Five Mile River in Rowayton, CT.
