RAC’s historic building, located on the shores of the Five Mile River in Rowayton, CT, lends itself well to group tours and visits. With advanced notice, RAC can arrange for a gallery docent to lead your group through the 1st floor art gallery. The tour will be sprinkled with interesting anecdotes about the artists in the current exhibit as well as fun stories about the history of the Arts Center. For an extra treat, we can arrange a custom art activity for your group in our 2nd floor studio space. If you’re a school group, we can even create a program that ties into your Art Appreciation program.
Children will delight in the eye-spy gallery games that are customized for each new exhibit and the sketching activity that keeps even the most art-a-phobic child interested and engaged. To top it off, we can end your tour with snacks and a story while enjoying the view from our back deck overlooking the river.
If you’re looking for a field trip for a group of children, art enthusiasts, seniors, business associates, etc., consider a visit to RAC. It’s a gem of a place that puts smiles on faces and nurtures creative souls.
