Watercolor, Still life and the Interior
The class will continue with the idea of expanding the use of still life and the interior as subject matter. We will examine the elements of what makes a painting. This will be the framework to become more confident in the use of color, in drawing, understanding form, and the use of the medium. For the last few classes we will place ourselves, (self portrait) in the interior, with still life. A fun expansion of the the class.
We meet at 10:00 on Zoom and review the assignment of the day for 30 to 40 minutes and then go off to develop the ideas discussed. At 1:00 for those who wish, they can check in with questions.
At 3:00 we return by zoom to share and talk about our work with a critique on the paintings completed that day, and discuss ways this assignment can be further developed during the week.
This class is most appropriate for Intermediate and Advanced watercolor artists.
Note: this class will be taught online using Zoom. Please download and become familiar with the app prior to the start of class.
