Holiday Gift Show & Winter Small Works Juried Show

Holiday Gift Show & Winter Small Works Juried Show

Nov 22 - Dec 24

After careful consideration and feedback from last year’s member survey, RAC has decided to make some changes to the structure of the Holiday Gift Show for 2026. We will consolidate and streamline this event to make it more manageable and sustainable. If you normally put items in the Holiday Gift Show, please carefully read the following:

Changes to Item Quantities
Most of the items submitted to our Holiday Gift Show year after year remain unsold and are returned to the vendor at the end. This creates a huge amount of unnecessary work for our staff and volunteers as well as for the vendors. In light of this, we will be reducing the number of categories and the amount of items that members and non-members are able to submit.

Member Art
As usual, only Exhibiting Members are able to submit art. Art will be limited to 10 unframed prints (approximately 10 x 12 inches or less) and cards (5 packs or 20 individual cards). If your work sells well, you will be asked to replenish!

The 6 x 6 inch Artist Squares, which are extremely popular, are returning and will still be given out in October. This is also for Exhibiting Members only.

Other Handmade Items
If you have handmade items that you wish to sell (other than prints or cards), we will be holding two drop-in Jurying Days on Monday, September 14 (5-7pm) or Tuesday, September 15 (12-2pm). We are looking for well-crafted and appealing gift items at reasonable prices. You are invited to bring samples of your work to RAC so we can see the items in person and discuss quality, quantity and price. You will then be notified of your acceptance the following week. Please note that we will not be accepting items at drop off for the HGS that have not been previously vetted and approved (other than member’s cards and/or prints). No exceptions.

Previous Vendors
We are inviting back our best selling vendors from the past several years to participate in the gift show and are reaching out to those individuals to discuss their items. If we have contacted you, please be aware that any new items not previously sold at RAC will also have to be vetted on the Jurying Days or at a separate scheduled meeting.

Holiday Gift Show Prospectus

New Juried Show!
As an additional opportunity for everyone, we have added a new exhibition, the Winter Small Works Juried Show. This exhibition, which will hang in the gallery during the Holiday Gift Show, will give members and non-members the opportunity to submit up to 5 framed pieces for selection, just like any other juried exhibition. We are calling for original work that has wide appeal both in subject matter and price and is acceptable as a gift item with regards to quality. Work needs to be two-dimensional framed wall art, under or equal to 80” (total sum of measurements of 4 sides) and priced at $500 or less. Please stay tuned for more info under “Upcoming Exhibitions” on the RAC website.

Thank you for your patience while we negotiate this restructuring. Our goal is to make the Holiday Gift show more manageable as well as more successful for all involved.
