Class Description:
This art class is filled with inspiration, skill building and creative freedom. Each session we’ll discover what inspires artists from around the world and different periods of history. For example students will try their hand at Thiebaud’s color palette and pastries, Georgia O’Keefe’s flowers, Picasso’s cubism, and Gustav Klimt’s patterns among others. Every class will be unique and fun — experimenting with Delft blue and white patterns or figuring out how Michelangelo painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Students will make creations using many mediums, including the art of collage, printmaking and painting.
Supply list:
All art supplies will be provided by RAC. Each student should bring a smock.
