While there’s no requirement for this, there’s a new award for the best locally themed art, in addition to the media-specific awards. These awards are generously provided by individuals and businesses in our community! More info here.

“Photo Management for Fine Artists,” will be held Wednesday, May 22 and Wednesday, May 29 at 6-8:30pm in the RAC studio with Paul Einarsen, professional photo manager and digital expert. He will demonstrate how to photograph, edit and submit artwork online for bios, contests and galleries to better position artists as professionals.
** Please note this is a two-part course for fine artists to learn how to photograph their artwork, not a course for photographers!
Workshops are made possible by a grant from the Rowayton Civic Association. Preregistration is required (max attendance is 30 for each in person session). Click here for more info and to register for both workshops!
By the end of the course, participants will have the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver professional-looking submissions that conform to show specifications and complement the artist’s work. They will also have a better understanding of the art show submission process and how to effectively showcase their work to potential buyers and collectors using their iPhone. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this course will provide you with the tools and techniques you need to get your work showcased for potential buyers and collectors.
