Level: all
Sunday
Apr 6
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Instructor: Michelle Bjerke
Fee: $30 (incl materials)
This class is for students new to crochet as well as for those who have mastered the basics of crochet and are ready for the next step. Expect to learn new stitches and to work on more complicated projects. As usual, Michelle will teach through demonstration and individual assistance. The class is purposely kept small so that students can move at their own pace. All materials will be provided and given to you at the end of the class for you to work on at home. This class is perfect returning students and those adept basic crochet stitches.
If your schedule allows, we recommend registering for both the Saturday and Sunday workshops to give yourself the best opportunity to complete a project. However, if you can only attend one, you’ll still gain enough knowledge to continue your project at home.
Michelle will be contributing all of her profits to UCONN’s Graphic Design Program’s final show in May.
SUPPLIES: All supplies will be provided by RAC
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Hello, My name is Michelle Bjerke and I am excited to be teaching Crochet for Kids. I am currently studying at the University of Connecticut while spending my summer break working as a gallery assistant and teacher at the Rowayton Arts Center. I’ve been an avid crocheter since I was 8 and actually began assisting the after school program that taught me at the qualified age of 12 so lets hope I am a proficient instructor by now. Since then I’ve shown textile work at my school and sold my products at RAC and other places. I am excited to get crocheting with all of you and I hope you walk out of this class with a new skill.
