Theme: There is no theme for this show. Work should NOT be holiday themed.

We are presenting commercially viable work, appealing in subject matter and price, and accessible to the public. Therefore, this show has a size and price limitation.

Show Dates: November 22 (opening reception) – December 24

Submission dates: October 5 – October 30 (midnight deadline)

Cash Award: $250 for Best in Show

Artist Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 and over, all media

Artwork Guidelines: 

All media is welcome. No copies or gicleés other than photography.

Two dimensional work only

Size:

The sum of all four sides of work must be equal to or less than 80” including frame.

Example: a framed painting that measures 10” x 14” would be 10”+10”+14”+14”= 48” and would be acceptable. A piece whose dimensions are 20” x 24” (20”+ 20”+ 24”+ 24”= 88”) would be too large and NOT acceptable.

Pricing:

All work must be marked for sale at $500 or LESS

Exhibition Requirements: Please review the exhibition requirements carefully to ensure your work complies with the guidelines for acceptance at the Rowayton Arts Center. By submitting your work to the show, you agree to the exhibition requirements and RAC Gallery Policies.

The Exhibitions Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry on the grounds of poor condition or oversized artwork. If you hope to sell your work (and we hope you do!) please make sure your mats are clean and frames undamaged!

Entry Fees: 

RAC Members: $25 for one piece; $10 for each additional piece, up to five.   

RAC Art Angel members (Life Members–enter as Art Angels): $2 for one piece, $1 for each additional piece, up to five.

Non-Members: $35 for one piece, $10 for each additional piece, up to five.

Juror Bio: Sandra Pelletier is the founder and owner of Sorelle Gallery, a fine art gallery and art advisory firm that aims to connect her love of both fine art and technology. Sorelle Gallery features a variety of traditional and contemporary art, grounded in a commitment to client service, fine art education and collection diversity. She attended South Connecticut State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Art Education. She later attended the College of St. Rose where she received her Master of Arts in Art Education. She previously worked as a part time art teacher at the Guilderland Central School District, as well as in technology and sales.

Receiving Dates: Monday, November 16 (5–7pm) and Tuesday, November 17 (12-2pm)

ARTWORK MUST BE DELIVERED DURING RECEIVING TIMES – COMMITTEE WILL

NOT ACCEPT PIECES DELIVERED AFTER 2 pm Tuesday, December 1, No exceptions!

Opening Reception: Sunday, November 22 (4-6pm)

Pick Up of your work: Monday, January 4 and Tuesday, January 5 (12-6pm)

Please pick up your artwork during the designated times. Due to extremely

limited storage, any artwork not collected on time will incur a $10 per day storage

fee, which will begin accruing on the day after the final pick-up date.
