Allowing the paint to guide her, Cara is drawn to an array of artist expressions from landscapes to portraiture and abstract works.Having grown up in Newburyport, Massachusetts, an historic seaside community, water has always played an important role in Cara’s life and she is always wanting to paint water in both a traditional and abstract manner. Peoples’ inner worlds also intrigue her and Cara loves painting people of all ages because she strives to capture their essence. In her landscapes and abstract works, Cara hopes to capture an intangible moment in time, filled with the mystery, love and beauty that the world offers.
Cara’s paintings can be found in private commissions and collections in Manhattan, East Hamptons NY, throughout CT, Boston MA, Palm Beach FL, Duxbury MA, and Weisimmer Switzerland. Her work has been accepted into The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, The Loft Artist Association, and The Rowayton Arts Center as an Exhibiting Member. She is represented by The Geary Gallery.
Cara is involved in several art organizations for Harvard Alumni and for The Breast Cancer Alliance. She lives in Darien, Connecticut, where she is raising three amazing girls.
