Students who are looking to build their portfolio for prospective college admissions will work together one on one with Felicia. Together, they will build a “portfolio resume” of artworks catered to the requirements of the Advanced Placement Art Exam that most colleges use as criteria to accept new students. Strengthening the concepts and observational skills of a student’s portfolio, as well as detailed considerations such as concise art analysis summaries, is something Felicia has been helping students achieve for 12 years. Her most recent grads have gone onto the following: majors in animation, game design, graphic design, illustration, and fine arts at Pratt, Parsons, SVA, RISD, MICA, and SCAD.
Lesson structure: Students who need specific pieces as per the requirements of their college of choice will work in real time with Felicia. She will give them live demonstrations and in the moment critiques. Students who need to improve the quality of artworks will have an initial critique with Felicia, which will include digital corrections in real-time, and in the moment progress critiques. Each lesson will be 1 hr remote via Zoom. It is also possible to do in person private session.
Felicia is available during the month of June on Friday afternoons, and starting the week of July 25th, she’ll be available on Mondays until 3pm, Thursdays until 4pm and on Fridays until 5pm.
