Level: all

Saturday & Sunday

Apr 25 - Apr 26

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Instructor: Michelle Bjerke

Fee: $65 (incl materials)

This class is for students new to crochet as well as for those who have mastered the basics of crochet and are ready for the next step. Expect to learn new stitches and to work on more complicated projects.  As usual, Michelle will teach through demonstration and individual assistance.  The class is purposely kept small so that students can move at their own pace.  All materials will be provided and given to you at the end of the class for you to work on at home.  This class is perfect returning students and those adept basic crochet stitches.

If your schedule allows, we recommend registering for both the Saturday and Sunday workshops to give yourself the best opportunity to complete a project. However, if you can only attend one, you’ll still gain enough knowledge to continue your project at home.

Michelle will be contributing all of her profits to UCONN’s Graphic Design Program’s final show in May.

SUPPLIES:  All supplies will be provided by RAC

Hello, My name is Michelle Bjerke and I am excited to be teaching Crochet for Kids. I’m finishing up my studies at the University of Connecticut and will spend some time teaching at the Rowayton Arts Center. I’ve been an avid crocheter since I was 8, and by the time I was 12, I was assisting the after- school-program that taught me. So, I’ve been doing this for a long time.  Since then I’ve shown textile work at my school and sold my products at RAC and other places. I am excited to get crocheting with all of you and I hope you walk out of this class with a new skill.
