Now that you’ve mastered shutter speed, aperture and ISO in Beginner 1, and have gotten your feet wet with composition in beginner 2. It’s time to uncover your creative voice in photography. This 4 week class will guide you through the process of creating a photographic series of images based on your specific interests. Open to anyone with a camera, an understanding of composition and exposure.
Note: This class will be taught online using Zoom. Please have the Zoom app uploaded to your device and become familiar with it prior to joining class. Invites to the Zoom meetings will be sent a few days before the class begins.
About the Instructor: Thom Williams
Thom Williams is a photographic artist currently living in Troy, NY. Thom earned a B.F.A. from SUNY Oswego with studio conentrations in Graphic Design and Photography. He has taken photographs ranging from fashion editorials, portraits, architecture, athletic events and street photography. Whether a gesture, expression, or angle of architecture, Thom is inspired by capturing images not otherwise seen in ordinary moments that can have profound reflective meaning for the viewer. As an artist, he is interested in experimenting digitally with images and more recently in presenting images in a unique multidimensionally way.
His fashion editorials have been published in Saratoga Living, The Muse and Tatoo Envy Magazine among others. Thom’s work can be viewed on TM Williams Photography through Facebook or Instagram. Below is a list of shows participated in.
Teaching at multiple art centers for the past 3 years in person and virtually beginning in 2020 he has found an avenue to share his passion and foster growth for others interested in photography.
