The emphasis of this class is on learning a variety art techniques and skills through a series of creative projects inspired by the works of the world’s great artists. Students will use a variety of mediums including paint, paper-mache, pen & ink, and collage. Artists such as Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollack, Georges Seurat, Vincent van Gogh, and Henri Matisse will be introduced. This will be a fun class where hands get messy and and minds expand. There are new themes and projects presented each class session so that students can keep returning for more!
All art materials will provided by RAC

About the Instructor
Monica Sprei has been teaching art to youth for the majority of her career. She has taught in numerous schools throughout the Metropolitan NYC area with her last job as full time art teacher for Fox Run Elementary School in Norwalk, CT where she worked for 13 years. Monica has a BA in Art Education (K-12) and a Masters in Reading (K-6). She is an artist in her own right with an focus in mixed media. Her work has been exhibited at the Ambler Farm, Rowayton Arts Center and other regional venues.
