New Jersey born artist Natalia Petkov begins her studio practice with long walks in various landscapes, collecting materials, such as dead birds or dug up trash from the ocean, along with photographing and videotaping the environment. Later in the studio, she transforms these collected materials and images into photographs, large scale works on paper, videos, and sculptures that explore interconnectivity within the universe. Natalia navigates across mediums while keeping experimentation and discovery at the forefront of her work. Petkov lives and works in New York City with an additional studio located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
