Realism 2026 Opening

Wednesday, April 15 (6-8pm) with Sandra Pelletier
Sandra Pelletier, founder of Sorelle Gallery Fine Art in Westport, will discuss how to build a successful and profitable art career. She explains that if artists want galleries, collectors and designers to take them seriously, they must organize their practice like a professional studio.
Sandra will discuss how an artist must think of their career in three areas:
- Creating the Work
- Building the Business Infrastructure
- Marketing and Selling the Work

NEW 4-wk Drawing Class this month!
Drawing with Fresh Eyes
Tuesdays, April 14 – May 5 (2:30-4:30 pm)
Instructor, Timothy Cronin
In this class, students will learn to draw more intuitively by slowing down and truly observing what’s in front of them. We’ll focus on seeing shapes, proportions, relationships and negative space as they actually appear. This is a great class for those new to drawing as well as seasoned painters who could use a refresh on the powers of observation.

Atmospheric Landscapes with William McCarthy
Saturday & Sunday, April 11 & 12 (10am-4pm)
William McCarthy engages you by sharing the techniques that enable him to paint from his imagination and achieve an atmospheric style that captures, in essence, the beauty and the emotion of the landscape. Both oil and acrylic painters are welcome.
Fee: $325 (includes oil paints, brushes and canvas. Those who prefer to paint in acrylics should bring their own paints and brushes.

Intro to Encaustic Photography with Rebecca Dunn
Wednesday, April 22 (6:30-8:30pm)
Students will learn how encaustic wax can be layered with photographs, tinted with pigments, and manipulated to create depth, texture, and luminous surfaces.

Skies and Sea with Nancy McTague-Stock
Saturday, April 25 (10:30am-1:00pm)
In this workshop, we will explore ways to create the mood. From the stormy to the meditative, from streams to oceans, you will have the choice to employ pencil, watercolor, watercolor pencil, ink and/or crayon as a part of your process.

FREE Art Demonstration with Lenny Moskowitz
Wednesday, April 29 (6:00pm-8:00pm)
This free art demonstration introduces Lenny’s approach to simplifying and abstracting subjects from life or photographs. He’ll show how to break images into bold shapes, establish strong values and contrast, and use warm and cool color patterns to create rhythm and energy—revealing what makes a painting truly come alive.
Fee: No charge, but registration is required.
