RAC Classes and Workshops

Education Update

The Winter session will begin in January and continue through February with classes available online and in studio. From drawing to watercolor, pastels and oil, there is something for every artist at every level. New this session is a “Critique and Technique” class with Denise Minnerly. The class is designed for students who often work independently and are looking for feedback and suggestions on their work.

View the full line up at rowaytonarts.org/classes.

The winter session for youth and teen students begins mid January – art classes for elementary school students and a skills class for 10-14 year olds. There’s also a new class “Recyclable Art” with RAC Instructor Georgette Diamandis. For more info, visit rowaytonarts.org/youth-classes-and-workshops.

RAC offers private art classes and parties for all ages in small groups in our studio as well. Schedule a private weekly art class, a Paint and Sip party or Open Sketch session by contacting RAC Education Director Suzy Aubrey at education@rowaytonarts.org or call 203-866-2744 (x-2).

Painting Creatively from Photographs

Saturday, February 4

11:00am-3:00pm

In this workshop with RAC Instructor Souby Boski, students will learn to paint in a creative, personal and expressive way using photos as reference only to free them from the urge to copy. All levels are welcome, although the class is not appropriate for absolute beginners.

Fee: $115 (supply list online). More info on all adult workshops and register online here.

Online Photography Classes for Adults and Teens

Thom Williams will offer one weekly class in January: Beginner 1 Photography (beginning January 4 from 6-7:30pm), recommended for dslr and mirrorless users. Review the entire schedule and register online via the RAC website at rowaytonarts.org/photography-classes.
