Happy 4th of July!
This photo by RAC Executive Director Andrea Letters captured the scene last year during the Rowayton Civic Association’s fireworks off of Bayley Beach – this year the festivities begin Friday, July 4 at 5 pm with live music by local bands and fireworks after sunset.
The RAC gallery will be open earlier that day from 12 to 3 pm. Come by and see the Photography & Sculpture show if you’re in town!

Photography & Sculpture Opening
Sunday, June 22
RAC’s annual Photography & Sculpture Show is on view now until July 20! Thanks to all who joined us at the opening reception on Sunday, June 22. This exhibition features artwork by over 50 area artists selected from online submissions by juror Crista Dix, Executive Director at the Griffin Museum of Photography. Visit Tuesday through Friday from 12 to 5 pm plus Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm. More info and list of award recipients here!

Pro Skills Workshop
Wednesday, June 25
Thanks so much to Cliff Ennico, Attorney, Author and Columnist, for his enlightening workshop “Business Savvy for Artists” (here he is seated left, being introduced to the participants by RAC Executive Director Andrea Letters). Cliff discussed art as a business, explaining the difference between fame and business sense. He also reviewed artists’ contracts, dealing with taxes and the definition of a Copyright and a trademark.
