FREE Art Demonstration

Sunday, November 16 at 1 pm

On Sunday, November 16, you’re invited to attend a free art demonstration with RAC Instructor Anda Styler from 1-3pm to see how to use acrylics so they look and feel like oils. Learn how to eliminate flatness, enrich your colors, and create vibrant, harmonious mixtures with depth and luminosity. Discover the best surfaces, brushes, and mediums to make your acrylics more workable just like oil paints.

Registration is required – sign up here.

In Memoriam

Brian Kammerer

We have learned that Brian Kammerer passed away October 1 after a lengthy illness. After retiring from advertising, he brought his talents to Rowayton and was a long-time member of RAC. Brian became involved in Historic Rowayton and was the creator of the popular miniature winter holiday train show with full representational artistic rendering of the buildings and landscape. For the past five years, Brian was a popular market manager of the Rowayton Farmers Market – he loved working with the vendors and the great community of Rowayton. Here he is pictured at RAC (right) with Senator Bob Duff, a special guest judge for the Expressions exhibition in 2016, after winning the Senator’s Selection Award for his painting, “Hamlet,” a depiction of Shakespeare on the Sound in Pinkney Park.

Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
