4 weeks

Instructor: Joseph Fama

Instructor's website

Fee: $140

This course will teach students how to capture the spirit of a landscape scene.   Emphasis will be placed on the photo selection process as well as the development of a solid value sketch to guide you in your painting.   You will learn how to capture depth through the use of various color choices, brush strokes and perspective.  Most of all, you’ll learn to hone your observational skills so that the painting process becomes easier and more self directed.

Classes will include lectures, demonstrations, as well as individual instruction.  Students are welcome to paint in oils or acrylics.  Appropriate for new and experienced artists.  New artists will start with a black and white value study and will progress to color as the weeks go on.
