Joseph Dermody of Greenwich wins Best in Show in the exhibition with “Community Sponsored Awards,” at the Rowayton Arts Center for his mixed media piece, “1995.”
More than two-dozen winners were selected out of 107 entries. Award winners received cash awards and prizes (almost $4000) donated by friends and local businesses.
The art, submitted by RAC Exhibiting Members, displays a full range of styles and mediums from abstraction to realism. Amy Simon, gallery owner of Amy Simon Fine Art in Westport, selected the award winners. The Exhibition Chair is Mary Harold (Ridgefield) and Co-Chair is Chris Perry (Ridgefield). Opening reception is Sunday, May 6 (4-6pm) and the exhibition will be in the gallery until Saturday, June 2. Gallery hours are Tues – Sat 11-5pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.

For almost 60 years, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a cultural gem in the community.
