July 1, 2018….Winners of the Marine & Coastal Exhibit were announced at the Rowayton Arts Center’s opening reception today. Susan Fehlinger (Bridgeport) won Best in Show for her oil painting, Beach Cottage. Award winning artist and instructor Will McCarthy (Hamden, CT) selected the award winners from almost 80 entries.

Of the exhibition, Will McCarthy said, “This is my second time jurying this very same show, and each time I am struck with the diversity and breath of creation that awaits me every time I enter this space.”

Exhibition Chair was Sandy Mills (Norwalk) and Co-chair was Elaine Pagano (Rowayton). The exhibition will be on view until Sunday, July 29. Gallery hours are: Tues – Fri (11am-5pm) and Sat, Sun (11am-2pm).

Since the sixties, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a cultural gem in the community. Regional artists exhibit and sell their work in the gallery.
