A new show at the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC), “In the Garden,” is now on view through March 5, 2022.  This all media exhibition features over one hundred pieces of artwork by RAC Exhibiting Members with a floral or garden theme.

Winners were announced by the judge, Lee Findlay Potter: 1st Place: Michael Brenneke of Westport for “Under the Trellis” (Painting), 2nd Place: Peter Kinseley of Norwalk for “Tribute to Georgia O’Keefe” (Watercolor), 3rd Place: Ronnie Gold of Stamford for “Outer Banks” (Painting), Honorable Mention: David Lindsay of Norwalk for “Dutch Tulips” (Photography), Judy Peknik of Stamford for “Bouquet” (Watercolor) and Amy Schott of Wilton for “Butterfly Companions” (Mixed Media).

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12 to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. The Chair for the exhibition is Pamela Proctor and the Co-chair is Dana Laird.

RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community. For over 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults.
