A new show at the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC), “Photography and Sculpture,” will be on view August 1 through August 29, 2021. This exhibition features over 60 pieces of artwork by area artists. The opening reception on Sunday, August 1 from 4 pm to 6 pm is free and open to the public.
RAC gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm. The Chair for the exhibition is Joanna Bridges and the Co-chair is Laure Dunne. The judge, Debbie Hesse, is a multidisciplinary artist and Gallery Director at Ely Center of Contemporary Art in New Haven.
RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community. For over 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults.
