This show of regional young talent allowed artists to freely express themselves without restrictions on theme or media.

Best in Show is awarded a prize of $250.  The Exhibit Chair is Joanna Bridges and Co-Chair is Megan Garbe. The Judge, Eleanor Flatow, is an independent art consultant and former co-director of the Carriage Barn Arts Center.

Exhibition datesJune 10 – June 23
Opening receptionSunday, June 10 (4-6pm) (Free, open to the public)

Another exhibition, also opening on Sunday, June 10, is “Paint Rowayton.” This show features the work of Plein Air painters who painted scenes of picturesque Rowayton during the spring (May 5 – June 8). So if you have seen artists with easels set up around Rowayton, now you know why.

Rowayton’s Memorial Day celebration is on Sunday, May 27. Look for Junior Members in the parade on the RAC float and then join in the activities sponsored by the Arts Center in Pinkney Park after the parade. For more information or if you would like to volunteer, please visit the website www.rowaytonarts.org.

Another upcoming event you do not want to miss is the Author Talk with best selling author Georgia Hunter on Monday, June 18 (6-9pm). Her book, We Were the Lucky Ones, a NY TIMES BESTSELLER, was inspired by Ms. Hunter’s grandfather’s real Holocaust survival story.

For almost 60 years, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a cultural gem in the community.
