Winners of the 2018 Photography and Sculpture Show were announced at the Rowayton Arts Center Opening Reception today by Exhibition Co-Chairs Laure Dunne and Lisa Laible.
The Best in Show winner is Kerry Long of Trumbull for her intriguing photograph, “Rooted.” Other winners include:

Third – Debbie Smith (Westport) “Sink”
HM – Lisa Laible (Rowayton) “Stippled”
HM – Barbara O’Shea (Stamford) “Strike a Pose”
Black and White Photography:
First – David Kaplan (Stamford) “Between the Rides”
Second – Robert Sachs (Norwalk) “From Train to Agra”
Third – Monique Michaels (Peekskill, NY) “Fire @ Ice”
Honorable Mention – Nancy Breakstone (Westport) “Stormy Rowayton Sunset”
Sculpture:
First- Judith Orseck Katz (Wesport) “Store Rooms in My Heart”
Second – Katharine Draper (Norwalk) “Woven”
Third – Lois Weingarten (City Island, NY)“Flight”
Judge Joan Fitzsimmons commented, “I found that, in all categories, I was drawn to pieces that had their own sense of narrative, whether suggested, or more literal.
The show will be on view through Staurday, September 22. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 11 am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 11 am to 2 pm.
