Theme: Abstract – art which uses a visual language of form, color and lines to create a composition that may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. This departure from representation can be partial or it can be complete. For this exhibition, we encourage artists to submit work with a larger degree of independence from visual references.
The exhibition chair may refuse any entry on the grounds of poor condition or oversized artwork.

Artist’s Eligibility: Exhibiting Members only
Please be sure to review the exhibition requirements to make sure your work complies with the guidelines for acceptance at the Rowayton Arts Center. By submitting your work to the show, you agree to exhibition requirements and RAC Gallery Policies.
How Many Works: One work per artist
Cash Award: The Hu Lindsay Memorial Award – $250 for the highest prize in Mixed Media.
Fee: $25; Fee waived for Art Angels
There is a process to pay for entries online prior to drop off.
DEADLINE IS MIDNIGHT ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 26. After you hit the submit button, you will be directed to PayPal to pay your entry fee.

Receiving Dates: Monday, January 29 (5pm–7pm) and Tuesday, January 30 (12-2pm)
ARTWORK MUST BE DELIVERED DURING RECEIVING TIMES – COMMITTEE WILL NOT ACCEPT PIECES DELIVERED AFTER 2 pm Tuesday, January 30, no exceptions!
Opening Reception: Sunday, February 4 (4pm-6pm)
Show Runs February 4 through March 2
Pick Up: Monday, March 4 (5pm-7pm) and Tuesday, March 5 (12-2pm)
Storage is extremely limited – please pick up on time. You will be charged a $10/day penalty for late pick up.
