Pattern texture color is the language spoken in Robin’s painting. A mix of media, brushwork and hand drawing add layers and depth. Her graphic design background as well time spent in Amsterdam with a graffiti artist and as a textile designer working in India, studying the ancient arts of block printing, natural dying, Ikats and hand weaving have all had a profound effect on the way she approaches the canvas. Her goal is that whomever the viewer, they will respond to the many layers of influence defining each painting.
