A new show at the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC), “Autumn Juried Show,” will be on view October 12 through November 8, 2025.  This open theme all media exhibition features artwork by area artists chosen from over 500 online submissions.  Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12 to 5 pm plus Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm.

The winners were announced by the judge Ellen Hawley: 1st Place: Anne Finkelstein, “Lincoln Center (Ambigram 2)” (Acrylic on aluminum), 2nd Place: Laurie Peek, “For Alice” (Archival pigment print on vellum), 3rd Place: Rosalind Shaffer, “Tidal Pool” (Ceramics), Honorable Mention: Nancy Breakstone, “Then, Out of the Fog,” (Photography), Nancy Marx, “There are Always Three” (Oil over Acrylic), Clarice Shirvell, “The Chess Player” (Acrylic on Linen), Susan Hacker Stang “Legs, Cape Cod” (Digital Photograph on rag paper).

RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community. For over 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults.
