Susan is a photographic artist who has long been interested in the medium’s ability to transform reality into something iconic and mysterious. She has worked with a variety of alternate cameras and processes throughout the years. Recently she has been using toy cameras, with simple plastic lenses, which lend themselves so well to the slightly surreal and enigmatic feeling she looks to achieve.
Since moving to this area three years ago, Susan has been working on a series about American diners, which are as iconic as it gets.
