In trying to imagine and convey the visual sensations of hearing birds, Susan says she has to tap into a kind of sensory journey. How can bird songs be painted? These paintings make use of color, texture, vibration, tune.
Painted with acrylic on a variety of surfaces, sometimes mixed media. The images are inspired by personal connections, experiences and spectrograms, which are bird song diagrams. A QR code of a specific bird can be exhibited with work. (optional)
