Level: all

Saturday

Jun 7

10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Instructor: Lori Lohstoeter

Fee: $145 (incl all supplies)

In this playful mixed media workshop, Lori will teach you about the “Golden Ratio” which is a mathematical concept often used in art and design to create harmonious and visually appealing compositions.

You’ll begin with a pre-templated 20×30 white sheet divided into 18 mini-panels.  Next you’ll need to fill the panels.  But, Fear Not!  Lori will guide you playing with paints, doodles, calligraphy, inks, dry brush, collage and smears. Lastly, you’ll  top it all off with radiant synthetic gold leaf!  Squirrelly stuff, but soooo worth the effort!

At the end of this workshop, you’ll have 18 distinct works of art.  And you’ll have learned while you played — including proper masking techniques; basic golden ratio theory; use of acrylic medium, inks, etc; and the basics of applying gold leaf.

No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm…and maybe a friend ;)))
