Workshop Description:

Join us for a fun and inspiring two-hour workshop, you will learn how to create beautiful jewelry using bronze metal clay. In this class, you will  make two unique pendants – a textured heart and a sculptural piece inspired by nature using botanical molds as well as a  pair of earrings.

Whether you are  brand new to jewelry-making or experienced, this class is designed to spark your creativity and leave you glowing with inspiration.

We will begin with a quick dive into the fascinating world of metal clay—a material that feels like soft clay but turns  into solid bronze when fired! You will  explore easy, hands-on techniques for shaping, texturing, and molding your own one-of-a-kind designs, using a wide variety of tools, stamps, and textures. You will also learn  finishing and polishing techniques to bring your pieces to life.

At the end of the session, you will take home your completed earrings. Your pendants will be kiln-fired by Susanae after the class and ready for pickup at RAC a few days later.

This hands-on workshop will be filled with creativity, laughter and a chance to create wearable art. In addition this workshop incorporates mindfulness and meditation aspects of jewelry making allowing you to slow down and be present in the creative process.

All materials, tools, and clay are provided. You will also take home detailed instructions and learn how to torch-fire your pieces at home so you can keep creating long after the workshop ends.

Just bring your curiosity and a sense of play—no experience needed!

Supply List:  All supplies for this workshop will be provided by Susanne Brandt.
