Workshop Description:
In this fun and inspiring two-hour workshop, you will learn how to create beautiful jewelry using bronze metal clay. You will make two unique pendants: a textured heart and a sculptural piece inspired by nature using botanical molds.
We will begin with a quick dive into the fascinating world of metal clay—a material that feels like soft clay but turns into solid bronze when fired! You will explore easy, hands-on techniques for shaping, texturing, and molding your own one-of-a-kind designs, using a wide variety of tools, stamps, and textures. The pieces you create will be yours to keep. Susanne will fire them at home and will have them available at RAC for pick up approximately a week after the workshop.
This hands-on workshop will be filled with creativity, laughter and a chance to create wearable art. In addition, this workshop incorporates mindfulness and meditative aspects of jewelry making allowing you to slow down and be present in the creative process. Whether you are brand new to jewelry-making or experienced, this class is designed to spark your creativity and leave you glowing with inspiration.
All materials, tools, and clay are provided. You will take home detailed instructions on how to create and torch-fire future pieces at home so you can keep creating long after the workshop ends.
Just bring your curiosity and a sense of play—no experience needed!
Supply List: All supplies for this workshop will be provided by Susanne Brandt.
