In this class, students will learn the importance of observation and the influence it has over your drawings.  You’ll also learn how the introduction of ink and various watermedia can transform those drawings into dynamic paintings.

Judy will teach participants her techniques and the “secrets” she uses when drawing and when painting with watercolors and gouache.  You’ll learn how to bring life and energy to your work. This class is geared toward all levels of artists.

 About Judith Orseck Katz (aka Judy):

Judy is well known in the Region for her gouaches and ceramic sculpture.  Her distinct style is a blend of Eastern tradition and Western abstraction.  She has taught at Parsons School of Design, Silvermine School of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and in various schools around the country.
