In this group critique session, I will meet you where you are in your creative pursuit, whether you
are working representationally, abstractly or somewhere in between. Bring in five specific works in
any media on which you would like feedback. We can speak in specifics about color mixing, mark
making, use of materials and variety and unity. In addition, we can discuss the work as a whole
and possible directions or materials to explore. Be prepared to talk about your work as well as
your aspirations. Think about the artists you like and why, and what your influences are in your
work. Each artist will have thirty minutes of critique. I encourage the group members to stay and
participate in their peers’ critique.
Artists of all levels are welcome. This is an open dialogue that can spark new ideas, validate
established ones, and I hope will bring you joy and confidence as an artist.
