Nancy Chapman

Fee: $50 includes supplies

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Using Zoom as our virtual classroom, Nancy Chapman will teach students how to use a soft silicone plate (i.e. gelli plate), a brayer, paint and paper to create one of a kind monoprints.  The process is fun and simple and offers oodles of creative possibilities once it’s mastered.

In this workshop Nancy will teach students the basics and offer suggestions and techniques on how to take it to the next level.  Students will be making prints and cards in this workshop and will be offered ideas on what to make next.  We do warn you though…once you start, it’s hard to stop!

About the Instructor

Nancy Chapman is a mixed media artist from Connecticut who loves to paint, print, illustrate, take photographs and create from any materials she has available. She says she makes art everyday unless life gets in the way. LOL!

Nancy has been teaching art to adults and children at the Rowayton Arts Center, Anne’s Place in Danbury, Ct as well as other venues for the past 10 years.  She particularly loves to teach printing and mixed media techniques as they are her passion.

“I think art is one of the most relaxing, peaceful forms of therapy. Art can take your mind off of just about anything!! Once you start, you wander into another whole world! My wish for everyone is to try some kind of art, even if you think you can’t do it…you will be amazed with what you come up with. Just try!” Nancy Chapman
