July 2020 Newsletter
We are pleased to announce that the RAC gallery will reopen on July 5th with our Community Sponsored Awards Exhibition! In the meantime, please browse our online exhibitions and the new lineup of summer classes and workshops. Also look out for our emails and join us on social media @rowaytonarts.
A note about COVID -19 compliance:  Our gallery and studio are spacious and airy with excellent air circulation and plenty of room for people to stay safely distanced from one another. While the upstairs classroom can easily accommodate up to 20 people, we are only allowing a maximum of eight students and one teacher at a time.  Every student will have plenty of personal space in which to work and will have their own set of supplies.

June 14 – July 5, 2020
Focus Under Forty is in RAC’s online gallery along with four other recent shows here.
Mathew Anderson of East Lansing, Michigan was awarded Best in Show for this acrylic painting, “Politics.” He says, “Many of our politicians have shifted towards self-service as opposed to representing the people. This piece represents citizens swirling around living life, while the establishment surrounds itself with a barrier to protect their perfect institution. Blood is shed on their behalf, while the people of all colors slowly stand up, and eventually a single Black Sheep rises to disrupt the system.”
