Adult Workshop with Anda Styler
“Plein Air Workshop”
Saturday, June 1
2 – 6pm
Fee $85
Participants will catch the best light of the day in this late afternoon workshop overlooking the gorgeous Five Mile River. The workshop will focus on light, shadow, composition, and how to capture the landscape without being totally overwhelmed! Being on location can be somewhat intimidating – everything is there in front of you so how do you hone in and create a powerful painting that captures the essence of the place you are? There will also be a quick 20 minute demo. More info here .

In Memoriam
Susan Spivack
February 2, 1942 – April 28, 2019
We are deeply saddened to report the passing of long time RAC member, Susan Spivack. Susan was a resident of Westport, Connecticut and highly accomplished watercolorist. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology (State University of New York) where she majored in textile design. She also studied at numerous workshops in Italy, France and Bermuda, as well as several throughout the Northeast. Susan could often be seen at RAC helping with exhibitions, attending classes and bringing her warm and tender smile to everyone she encountered.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and/or the Rowayton Arts Center . RAC is honored to be named as a recipient of donations in Susan’s memory. We will miss her.
