We’ll spend time in this class discussing observation, composition, and color mixing as well as how to achieve atmosphere and perspective . We’ll also discuss how to use your materials to your advantage. I’ll be teaching through demonstration and one on one coaching and guidance. Focus will be on building skills as well as helping you to find your own voice.
About Kathy Coe: Kathy’s been painting and teaching for over 30 years. She studied at DuCret School of Art in New Jersey, Pratt Institute and The National Academy of Fine Art and Design in New York with Dr. Furman Finck, Ronald Sherr, Harvey Dinnerstein, and Marybeth Mckenzie.
She has won numerous awards for her work including: The Elizabeth Green Shields Grant, The National Academy Lorraine Grace award, The Edward Mooney Traveling Scholarship, The National Academy Annual Helen M. Loggi award, The James Sudan Bronze medal and The Salmugundi Silver Medal for drawing.
