In this class, students will learn about the properties of acrylic paint and offers exploration into the foundations of acrylic painting. This course goes over setting up a palette, using various painting tools and products, applying paint, determining and mixing colors, and steps to creating a finished image.
Students will be working from a still life over the 8 weeks with an emphasis on composition — allowing students to determine their dynamic image based off the still life, and to paint from life. The course encourages group discussion and offers one on one feedback. This class is appropriate for students new to painting, students new to acrylics, and for students who have taken the course before. The class is purposely kept small so that students can benefit from individualized attention.
