This is your chance to work with nationally acclaimed artist, William McCarthy, to learn how to achieve his iconic “Atmospheric” painting style. Through live demonstrations and instruction, William will teach you his process and guide you through your own paintings.
Learn about color mixing, layering, composition drawing and reduction, glazing, color harmony and dry brush. Expect to develop these skills along with some finer nuances of painting.
Will’s been teaching this workshop on Zoom for the past year and it’s gotten rave reviews. You can see examples of his and his students’ work on his website williammccarthyfineart.com.
Open to oil and acrylic painters. All skill levels are welcome.
NOTE: This class will be taught online using Zoom. Students are expected to be familiar with the app prior to the start of class. A Zoom link we sent to you by Will McCarthy upon registration.
Supply List
Will McCarthy will send the suggested supply list upon registration. Both oil and acrylic painters are welcome. The concepts taught are applicable to all.
William McCarthy is a nationally-known artist whose works are in numerous public and private collections. He shows regularly in the Northeast and has been featured in American Artist Magazine. In addition to his workshops at RAC, he teaches workshops in Farnese, Italy and, recently, in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
