Instructor: Michelle Beyman

Fee: $45

THIS CLASS IS FULL. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PLACED ON THE WAITLIST, email education@rowaytonarts.org or call 203-866-2744 (x-2).

With inspiration from the giant works of sculptor, Jim Dine, students will create their own 3-dimensional colorful clay (air-dry) & wire sculpture.  Kids will have fun learning new techniques, color mixing and adding bumpy/lumpy textures.

This is a socially-distanced class. Children and Instructor will be masked and tools/materials will be sanitized.

Supplies:  All supplies are provided by RAC and are included in the price.  Students should bring a smock or wear clothes that can get messy.

Our instructor, Michelle Beyman, known as “Mrs. B, Mrs. Clay & ClayLady”, teaches ALL ages from her ArtCart – clay, painting/drawing & mixed media. She is a ceramicist and mixed-media artist who loves to visit museums, sculpture parks, exhibits and other artists’ studios throughout the world to inspire her students.

A note about Covid compliance:  You can be assured that RAC is doing everything possible to keep its customers and staff safe from the Corona Virus.  Our studio is spacious and airy with excellent air circulation and plenty of room for people to stay safely distanced from one another.  While our studio can easily accommodate up to 20 people, we are only allowing a maximum of 9 students and one teacher at a time.   Every student will have a 6 foot table of their own on which to work and will have their own set of supplies.

All students will be asked to wear masks and have their hands sanitized before and after every class.  Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance and exits to the studio and all shared spaces and equipment will be thoroughly disinfected before and after every class.   As always, please do not come to the studio if you are feeling sick or have the following symptoms:  cough, fever, shortness of breath (other than the excitement of seeing us), sudden loss of smell or taste, chills, body aches, or sore throat.
