Cash Award: The Hu Lindsay Memorial Award – $250 for the highest prize in Mixed Media.
The Hu Lindsay Memorial Award was established in 2016 for the top winner in Mixed Media for RAC’s annual Abstraction exhibition. This cash prize of $250 honors the life of Hu Lindsay, an active exhibiting member for many years and RAC President from 2007 to 2013. Throughout his successful 50-year career as an award-winning graphic designer, Hu continued to create his own artwork. After his retirement, he concentrated on collages, mixed media artwork and paintings, many of which won awards at regional art venues.

Tina Villaveces is the Founder and Director of the Yellow Studio in Cross River, NY. She has worked at Pace Gallery, Sean Kelly, James Cohan and D’Amelio Terras, as well as Pentagram. She is currently a board member of the Katonah Museum Artists’ Association. yellowstudiony.com
